For those in doubt. Living in a world like today often leaves us questioning about God. Is He dead? This movie might answer your questions. Maybe. Worth a try – after all, what is life?
Re-watched this movie again. What can I say? It definitely is in my top ten favourite movies of all time. I still cannot get my sister to watch it but sighs. If only we remembered how to live like this all the time. Knowing that time travel has no benefits whatsoever – instead, realizing that we have to live each day as it is. Appreciating the moments and soaking it all in.
I believe Tim was ahead of his dad because he realised that he didn’t need time travel. Ah go watch. Please do. Oh and, for songs like this.
And in the end I think I’ve learned the final lesson from my travels in time; and I’ve even gone one step further than my father did: The truth is I now don’t travel back at all, not even for the day, I just try to live every day as if I’ve deliberately come back to this one day, to enjoy it, as if it was the full final day of my extraordinary, ordinary life.
― Tim in About Time
Lying in the park on a chilly day would be nice. With my best friend. Except he’s a thousand miles away.. Haha, I mean family is the only one that will never leave you. Yes I do have very best friends here, don’t get me wrong. But sometimes life gets too busy for them, and vice versa. In the end you’ll end up telling your siblings everything. Whether its via whatsapp or snapchat etc. hahaha
Second on that list is church friends.
They somehow never change much, the reason why? We barely see each other, 52 times a year? That’s not alot, seeing them around 10 times a year won’t make a difference. Hahah, the fact is every time you meet in church again, church goes on as usual.
Just a thought, meanwhile, check out the movie: Grace Unplugged. Good Christian movies hitting the media lately! 🙂
|The amount of hot hunks in this movie. oh.|
“Girls are taught a lot of stuff growing up: if a boy punches you he likes you, never try to trim your own bangs, and someday you will meet a wonderful guy and get your very own happy ending. every movie we see, every story we’re told implores us to wait for it: the third act twist, the unexpected declaration of love, the exception to the rule. but sometimes we’re so focused on finding our happy ending we don’t learn how to read the signs. how to tell the ones who want us from the ones who don’t, the ones who will stay and the ones who will leave. and maybe a happy ending doesn’t include a guy, maybe it’s you, on your own, picking up the pieces and starting over, freeing yourself up for something better in the future. maybe the happy ending is just moving on. or maybe the happy ending is this: knowing after all the unreturned phone calls and broken-hearts, through the blunders and misread signals, through all the pain and embarrassment… you never gave up hope.”
Dear Claire, “What” and “If” are two words as non-threatening as words can be. But put them together side-by-side and they have the power to haunt you for the rest of your life: What if? What if? What if? I don’t know how your story ended but if what you felt then was true love, then it’s never too late. If it was true then, why wouldn’t it be true now? You need only the courage to follow your heart. I don’t know what a love like Juliet’s feels like – love to leave loved ones for, love to cross oceans for but I’d like to believe if I ever were to feel it, that I will have the courage to seize it. And, Claire, if you didn’t, I hope one day that you will. All my love, Juliet
