Hello, how odd of you, stumbling over to this blog. Anyway, my name is Eugenia. I was named after an author, maybe that is why I keep my blog. Back then, it was cool and everyone used to “blog” regularly. Over time, I guess, blogs became a mere fad ( but not anymore, it’s cool again!). However, it kinda stuck with me. Maybe; I find a little peace of mind with each post I write, a place for me to grow, read back and laugh at how silly I used to be. More importantly, to remember all the good things in my life and how much God has blessed me.
Currently, I am still a student, my major? Engineering. Yeah, I don’t even know why either. This year – 2014 I took a gap year. So 2015 would be my first year in University. In my high school years I was an avid runner. I still run to keep fit and join competitions if the opportunity presents itself. Injuries happen, now and then but running is a huge part of my life – a passion.
Oh. I have to admit. I have a soft spot for romance. Movies like About Time and One Day. Fear not, I am not delusional about the whole cliche. I just really prefer sad, soapy stories over tragic ones (you know like war).
I’ve been trying to find my place, doing something other than sports and it is still on going. Lately, i’ve taken up debate – challenging but I enjoy it. I know my journey is still unfolding – adventures to live, people to love, places to see, people to meet, lessons to learn. So far, with almost two decades on earth, including God in my journey has been the best decision i’ve made. Not only is He my friend, He watches out for me, takes care of me and He is always around. He never leaves me – i’ve been through quite enough to only be assured again and again that Jesus’ love never fails. Here are some verses from the Bible that helps me do life:
“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19
“God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
Though its waters roar and be troubled, Though the mountains shake with its swelling.” Psalms 46:1-3
Thank you for spending time to read what I have to say. Blogging: you should think about it too, write one today.
